Cloud Services

Cloud systems that match how your business actually works.

F.Y.I. helps small and midsize businesses evaluate, implement, organize, and manage cloud file storage and cloud-based business systems.

Overview

What this service actually does.

Cloud decisions are rarely about the technology. They are about where your files should live, who should reach them, what happens when someone leaves, and whether the systems your staff use every day are organized or simply accumulated. We help you evaluate the options, plan a move that does not disrupt the business, tidy up what is already there, and keep access and security considerations in view. F.Y.I. does not own or operate cloud infrastructure. We help you choose it well and manage it properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers.

Does F.Y.I. operate its own cloud?+

No. We help you evaluate, implement, organize, and manage cloud services provided by established platforms and vendors. Our value is in choosing well and running it properly, not in owning the infrastructure.

Is cloud file storage the same as a backup?+

No, and this is one of the most common misunderstandings we see. File sync keeps a current copy available across devices. A backup keeps recoverable historical copies. Most businesses need both.

Should we move everything to the cloud?+

Not always. Some systems belong in the cloud, some run better where they are, and some businesses operate well with a mix. The right answer depends on your applications, your connectivity, and how your team works.

What is involved in a cloud migration?+

Typically an inventory of what exists, a decision about what moves and in what order, a planned cutover, and cleanup afterward so old systems and duplicate files are not left behind. Timeline depends on the size and condition of what is being moved.

Who manages access after we move?+

Access, permissions, and account lifecycle need an owner. Where it is part of your service arrangement with us, we manage it. Where it is not, we help you define who does.

Will our internet connection handle it?+

That is a fair question and worth answering before you migrate. Cloud systems put more weight on your connection, which is why we review connectivity as part of the conversation.
