Backup and Continuity

Protect your information and keep operating.

F.Y.I. helps small and midsize businesses protect important business information and prepare sensibly for technology interruptions.

Overview

What this service actually does.

Interruptions happen for ordinary reasons. A file gets deleted, a device fails, a system becomes unavailable, a person leaves and takes knowledge with them. Our work here is practical: understand what information matters, review what is already protecting it, select appropriate solutions where there are gaps, and plan how the business continues while things are put right. No alarmism, no promises about outcomes nobody can guarantee. Just a clearer picture of where you stand and a better position than you had before.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers.

What is the difference between backup, recovery, and continuity?+

Backup is keeping recoverable copies of your information. Recovery is the process of putting it back. Continuity is how your organization keeps operating while that happens, including people, access, and communication. They are related but they are not the same work.

Do you guarantee that our data can be recovered?+

No, and no honest provider should. What we can do is help you choose appropriate solutions, review whether they are working as intended, and improve your position so recovery is far more likely and far less painful.

Is our cloud file storage already a backup?+

Often not in the way businesses assume. Sync keeps a current copy available. It does not always keep enough history to recover from a mistake, a deletion, or an incident discovered days later.

Can you review the backup solution we already have?+

Yes. Reviewing an existing setup is one of the most useful places to start. Many businesses have something in place and simply do not know what it covers or whether it is still running.

What should a continuity plan cover beyond data?+

Who makes decisions, how staff communicate if normal systems are unavailable, which functions have to keep running, and what your business can reasonably do without for a period of time.

Do you monitor backups on an ongoing basis?+

Where ongoing monitoring and management are part of your service arrangement with us, yes. Where they are not, we help you establish who is responsible for checking.
